Engaging Adult Learners Through Games
March 17, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2021
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Where: Online
Presenter: Terri Peters, tlp Consulting
A game grabs learners’ attention, keeps them actively engaged in learning, and helps them practice their skills. Adult learning has the same elements as games: clear goals, shared objectives, and rewards. We just call them goal-setting, learning objectives, and assessment.
Bring a few learning activities you have used in the past to the workshop. During this workshop, you’ll:
- Discover the relationships between gaming principles and adult learning
- Apply gaming principles to learning activities
- Learn how common board and card games can be used in adult learning
- Walk away with a few new gamified learning activities to test
This session is now full. Please contact pd@ecala.org if you are interested in attending at a later date.
