Rural Routes is offering a five-hour, five-week study group that gives an overview of the Canadian Language Benchmarks for the purposes of determining learner proficiency, planning instruction, and assessing learning. Hands-on practice and activities make this series a useful foundation for using the Benchmarks in your own practice. We recommend participants come to each session.
There are four topics and a review session in the study group:
- March 2, Increase familiarity with CLBs
- March 9, Using CLBs to plan instruction
- March 16, Using CLB to plan assessment
- March 23, Increase understanding of CLB proficiency levels
- March 30, Review and question time
Please note that Google Chrome is the preferred web browser to use when accessing the Rural Routes session via Blackboard.
